Into the Heartwood is a part of my work where I deliver group workshops based in natural spaces. The purpose of these workshops is to facilitate people's connection to themselves and their natural environment through intentional experiencing of nature and creative responses to their encounters and experience.
Working in this way supports the development of our relationship with nature which is beneficial for our all-round health and well-being and, has a crucial role to play in fostering a more integrated relationship with the other-than-human natural world, which we are all a part. Having a felt sense of being a part of the natural world is creating 'nature relatedness'. Offering experiences for people to development their own nature relatedness is central to the aims of Into the Heartwood.
Workshops have been specifically focused on supporting Helping Professionals, for the people who support others every day. These have taken place outdoors in woodlands, and due to COVID 19, a hybrid of indoor, online incorporating an outdoor component in people's local natural areas.
Into the Heartwood workshops and events are available to staff teams, and groups. To find out more, please contact Natasha. If you would like to hear first about new and upcoming events and workshops, please request to be added to the Into the Heartwood mailing list.
